This is an amazing classic with an amazing history! This custom was completed in 1991 and waited no time when it came to winning awards. It has won 1st place in multiple categories including; Best of Show, Best Engine, Best Interior, Best Paint, Best Undercarriage, and more. In 1991 it was a runner up for the prestige Riddler award and is the 1st truck to win the world cup. There are many types of car shows out there from cruise ins to indoor shows, but there is only one Blackie's. This invitation only show only houses the best of the best in the custom world. Well this '32 Roadster got an invite in both 1991 and 1992 before being sold into a private collection. If that's not cool enough, the truck was then brought back out storage in 2009 and received some freshening up so it could to appear at Blackie's 50th Anniversary car show at the request of Blackie himself. To read more about Mike "Blackie" Gejeian and his historic car show check out the link below on Street Rodder's website: The truck has an amazing old school look that was provided by master painter, Art Himsl. The body is painted a light blue and covered in graphics with the steel fenders painted a darker Turquoise. It has subtle details that you have to see to believe. To see more of Art Himsl's amazing creations check out his site at www.arthimsl.com. The truck has a great stance and sits on 15" Sbarbaro Ent knockoff wheels with Uniroyal tires (255-15 in rear, 195-15 in front). Every nut and bolt on this custom has removable chrome covers. All lines and wiring has been routed inside the frame rails which make for a very clean look. It has a great look from angles but the fully chrome Halibrand Independent Quick Change Rear-End makes watching it cruise down the road look awesome. It is a great running truck and has never been on the highway. The disc brakes slow this truck to a stop with ease. The 1990 Corvette tuned port motor runs just as amazing as it looks. It is fully chromed out and just looks killer. The custom paint graphics continue into the engine compartment making for a really great look. The custom pop out headlights are also found in the engine bay when not in use. For show purposes, the side panel on the drivers side is removable to show off its beautiful engine. You may ask where the tail lights are. That is a good question. The tail light and license plate are on a retractable panel that folds up into the underside of the bed when the truck is not being driven. The Turbo 350 transmission shifts smoothly and is fully chromed. You can be 100% confident that if it is on this car it is either chromed or has a nice finish. The undercarriage is out of this world! (see pictures below) The Gray tweed interior with Turquoise inserts was finished out by Sid Chavers. Just as the rest of the car, the interior itself has one multiple awards. The fully custom center console houses the custom shifter as well as the Digital gauges. The tilt steering column is topped with a Boyd steering wheel and has all billet knobs. The bed has been finished out just as nicely with custom graphics and opens and closes with ease. The list of "one off" custom hand fabricated parts on this custom are just too numerous to list. This is an amazing car that in the current market would cost over $300,000 to construct. It is an amazing Street Rod that anyone should be proud to have in there collection. It is truly a future museum piece for the Hot Rod hobby and its advancements in time. Take the time to really look at the pictures. The more you look, the more you will be amazed with the detail. This custom one of a kind street rod could be yours for $95,000.00! (Trades Considered)
